Strategy

We think strategy is an overused word.

To us, strategy means truly understanding your internal position AND the dynamics of the external marketplace. We then overlay our Knowledge, Network & Credibility to help you take the right decision. We like to take the complex and simplify it to get to what matters most.

Over the years, we have finely tuned our strategy build process, so much so it doesn’t take months but we can efficiently get you to the right answer in weeks if required.  Take a look around the house to view the high-level steps and tools we use:

1
Evaluate

Managed Travel Model (MTM) Assessment. We ask LOTS of questions and you share as much as you know.

2
Engage

We listen to your Travellers, Executives, Stakeholders & Suppliers.

3
Express

We play back all this information together with an external marketplace review in a workshop setting.

4
Decide

Based on your preference we then create the Strategy or guide you through a build process.

1
Why?

First and foremost, we get to the reasons why you feel you need to run a sourcing exercise. We have seen too many examples of leaving one supplier only to create a whole new set of issues with the next; we discourage RFP for the sake of RFP

2
What?

Once we know the why we’ll set about specifically designing what we’re helping you buy (Hint: we will guide you to keep this simple, no-one needs an 87 page RFP).

3
Who?

Concurrently we’ll be helping you understand the marketplace and encourage supplier contact before any RFP documents are created. You can learn a lot by listening to the supplier community to help build the what.

4
How?

Now we have the Who, What & Why, we can set about designing the right sourcing approach. From workshops to reverse auctions to a traditional RFP, each has its place and it’s our job to guide you to the right “How”.

Sourcing

We don’t do RFPs.

Well we do but only when there’s a well laid out plan as to why. Some categories are ripe for competitive tender, for others we’ll help you get creative and approach the suppliers in a unique way. Importantly, we are focused on the right result not just the right price.

Sourcing can be a complex process but we don’t do complex. Take a look around the house to see our simplified approach:

Delivery

Possibly the most misunderstood, yet crucial part of Travel Management.

Why would you invest in a strong strategy and source a great deal to then not ensure tip top delivery? Travellers, Executives, Stakeholders & Suppliers all need managing. Not only do we get it, we pride ourselves on the way we help clients spin those plates.

But we can hear you asking, shouldn’t we do this ourselves?
If you can, great, we’ll leave you to it. However, some of our clients struggle to meet the ebb and flow of resource requirement and ask us to support them with specific projects or to provide ongoing outsourced support. Take a look around to see some of our delivery services:

1
Outsourced Travel & Project Managers

Whether it’s to supplement your own resources, to manage a specific project like a Policy Review or to take on complete management; the choice is yours.

2
Strategic Relationship Audit

To either help a mature programme reach the next level or indeed to fix a failing supplier/buyer relationship.

3
Engagement Programmes

We have designed a communication programme workshop specifically designed for Travel Managers/Teams to better engage their Travellers, Executives, Stakeholders & Suppliers.

4
Mentoring

Some of our clients call us their “strategic comfort blanket!” They can happily take the strategy and run but like to keep us engaged at checkpoints throughout the year to keep them on track. That’s fine by us, we quite like it actually
